The International Conference on "Transnational Aspects in Legal Relations: Contemporary Challenges and Objectives” within the Framework of the Turkic Judicial Training Network was held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, on 17-18 December 2024 within the framework of Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of the Turkic Justice Training Network (TJTN).
The International Conference was hosted by the Ministry of Justice and General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Minister of Justice of Azerbaijan Farid Ahmedov, the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev and the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan Inam Karimov attended to the international conference.The conference brought together representatives from the Prosecutor General’s Office and Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, along with training and educational centers and academies of justice and prosecution offices from Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. Additionally, relevant institutions from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus participated as observer.
The International Conference, attended by judges and representatives of justice and prosecution authorities from member states of the Network, aimed to discuss a range of pressing issues, including enhancing the efficiency of asset recovery processes, combating environmental violations, ensuring civil-legal protection for victims of transnational offenses, and advancing the legislative framework for commercial law within Turkic states.
